Zadie's Big Day

''Zadie is the best footballer on the school team. She is also the best skater in the park. When a new boy at school challenges her to a skating competition on the same day as an important football final, Zadie accepts. Can Zadie be both Queen of the Skate Park and Champion on the Pitch? '' (from book cover) I read this book. This is very important and easy to read and understand. I think Zadie is very cool because she didn't never give up. In spite of having injure, she was very brave. It was wonderful for Zadie to be admitted the talent of football and skateboard. Reference Hobbs, M. (2009). Zadie's Big Day. Helbling Languages

The Lost Smile

"One night Sarah and Ben have the same dream: the Lord ofd Tears is going to take over the world and make everyone sad. But Sarah and Ben know how to stop him. Together they set off on a journey to find the Lord of Tears and bring happiness back to the world." ( from the bookcover) I chose this book which is relatively easy. This story was very easy to read. The journy to find the Lord of ztears was very fun and I was excited to read the scene. Reference Holzmann, Christian. (2003). The Lost Love. Helbling Languages

Different Worlds

'In my world there are no birds singing. There are no noisy men working on the roads. No people leaving bars late at night shouting each other. No babies crying.' Sam is like any other teenage girl except that she was born deaf. Now she is  in love with Jim, but are their worlds too different? Sam is a woman who is deaf by nature and she is in love with a man who is working in a supermarket. She go there not so much to buy something need as to see him. This behavior is cute. This story is easy to read, but I think that there is not very much content in this story. Reference Johnson, Margaret. (2003). Different World. Cambridge; Cambridge University Press.

The black Tulip

"1672- The Netherlands. It is a dangerous time. People are fighting in the streets. Cornelius loves two things. He loves tulips and he loves beautiful Rosa. Cornelius wants to win the prize. The prize for the first black tulip flower in The Netherlands. But Cornelius has enemies put him in prison. He is going to die." This story was comparatively easy to read. Despite Cornelius invented the soil of black tulips, Isaac tried to rob them. He is very bad man. To make an effort is very important but Isaac didn't make an effort. He is very cunning man. I thought that the person made an effort will be rewarded. I will try to make efforts in everything. Dumas, Alexandre. (2005). The Black Tulip.Oxford : Macmillan Heinemann ELT

Shirley Homes and the Lithuanian Case

Shirley Homes is a private investigator. She is clever with computers, and knows London like the back of her hand. she laughs when people say, 'Was Sherlock Homes your grandfather?' Sherlock Homes, of course, was not a real person, but, like Sherlock, Shirley has good eyes, and good ears. And she knows the right questions to ask. And in Lithuanian Case, the right questions are important. Because Shirley must find a missing person Carrie Williams, aged fifteen. Where is she? Who is she with?(From the back of this book) This story is about a girl who left from home and very interesting for me. The words which are used is very easy. Bassett, J. (2012). Shirley Homes and the Lithuanian Case . Oxford : Oxford University Press

Shirley Homes and the Cyber Thief

"Shirley Homes, private investigator.Like Sherlock Holmes a hundred years ago, she lives in London, enjoys working on difficult cases, and hassome helpful friends. She understands people, is a good listener, and of course, she is clever with computers. In today's world that is important, because a lot of crime is cyber crime." ( From the book cover) The unfolding of this book is  very interesting for me, but it is difficult for me to maintain concentration to read this book. I was recommended this book by Asahi, and I am interested in cyber crime and I like using computers, so I thought I want to read this book. I want to be a cooporative person like Shirley Homes. My spring vacation

I spent good spring vacation. I work as a cram school teacher.  On March, the student had an entrance exam.Student in my charge passed the exam. I was happy that the school which the student wanted to entrance was my alma mater. The student said to me, "I want to show you my appearance in uniform!" The words made me happy and motivative. I could have a good experience.

Bad Love

"Jack Daly?" Judy looked at me. "He's a very good doctor. He's famous at the hospital." "Oh, famous is he?" I said. "I don't often like famous people." Judy ooked into my eyes. "Oh, come on, Detective Laine," she said, "you like him! I watched you with him. All the women like him." One week later Dr.Daly is dead and Flick Laine of the Denver Police Department is looking for his killer. (From book's book cover) This book was easy for me to understand the meanings. There are many foreshadows. The process that the many foreshadows are revealed was very interesting. I could enjoy reading this book. Leather, Sue. (2003). Bad Love. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.

Within High Fences

'There was nothing different about that night. It was the same as every other night, I thought. But that night, my life started to change. I didn't know it then, but I know it now.' It's the night when Nancy meets George. But it isn't easy for them to be together. There's Nancy's job and her boyfriend. All will George have to return to his own country? Nancy works in the refugee reception center and met George who is a refugee boy. She had a boyfriend but she is interested in George so she decided to part. One day one matter happened. Her belongings are stolen by someone. The end of the story is shocking and interesting. Hancock, Penny. (2005). Within High Fences. Cambridge; Cambridge University Press.

Bad Company

‘I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news,’ said Detective Inspector Helen Shepherd. ‘We found a body on the beach this morning. We believe it is Claudia Engel. We also believe that someone murdered her.’ ‘What? McNab’s mouth fell open. ‘Claudia? I don’t believe it. It can’t be true.’ (From back cover) I decided to read this book by the title and cover. I had not thought that this book is a mystery story. There are many characters in this story, so it was difficult for me to understand the relationships. This story is too long to read at once. It is interesting to be able to get clues as I read it. I think that Shepherd’s sergeant Webb play good roles in this story. I didn’t like mystery stories, but I want to try to read them on this occasion. MacAndrew, Richard. (2011). Bad Company . Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.
